Drury Construction Co. of Bainbridge Island has been named to a safety team, a joint effort between Associated General Contractors of Washington and the state Department of Labor and Industries. Selection to the team shows Drury has met or exceeded established construction safety standards and has made the health and safety of its employees a top priority. The company has twice before won awards for excellence in construction from the AGC. The company has been on the island for 20 years and recently won contracts for a $1.9 million fire station and training facility on Bainbridge, along with a new $1.3 million office for Boxlight Corporation in Poulsbo.
